The Woman Behind the Work

The Woman Behind the Work
I don’t remember deciding to do this work.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve experienced the world a little differently. Long before I had words for it, I was paying attention—to people, to animals, and to the quiet things that often go unnoticed.
Growing up in the hills of Appalachia taught me that not everything important asks to be seen. Some things ask to be felt. The land has always been one of my greatest teachers. Time beside the creek, among the trees, and with the animals wasn’t separate from my life—it was my life. Looking back, I can see those places were quietly preparing me for the work I do today.
Over the years, I studied, learned, and explored different approaches to healing. Each offered something valuable. But none of them fully described what naturally happened when I sat with a person or an animal. Rather than following a single modality, I found myself observing, asking questions, following what unfolded, and allowing each experience to become exactly what it needed to be.
That remains the heart of my work today.
Every healing experience begins with an intuitive understanding of what is asking for attention.
Whether I’m working with a person seeking clarity, supporting an animal through a healing experience, or helping someone better understand what their animal is trying to communicate, my role is never to arrive with a predetermined plan. My role is to understand what is asking for attention and follow where it leads.
That same philosophy extends beyond healing.
As a photographer and artist, I created The Land Remembers because I believe places carry stories just as people do. My photographs are an extension of the same quiet attention that guides my healing work. They invite us to slow down, notice what has always been there, and remember our connection to the land beneath our feet.
Everything I create begins in the same place.
By paying attention.
Today, I continue this work from my sacred Appalachian space, where the rhythms of nature continue to shape and inspire everything I do. Whether we’re working together through healing, animal communication, or simply sharing in the stories this land has to tell, my hope is that you leave feeling more connected—to yourself, to the animals you love, and to the quiet wisdom that has been there all along.
I’m grateful you’re here.
For more than 45 years, intuitive work has been a quiet thread woven throughout my life. Along the way, I’ve continued to study, grow, and deepen my understanding through years of intuitive development and a variety of healing modalities, allowing my work to evolve naturally into what it is today.
As a photographer, artist, author, and educator, I don’t see these as separate paths. To me, they’re simply different expressions of the same quiet way of paying attention. Whether I’m creating a Living Grid, discovering the quiet stories held within the land, writing, or sitting with a person or an animal, the work always begins the same way:
by paying attention to what is asking to be seen, heard, and understood.
