The First Witness is part of The Land Remembers, a growing collection of limited-edition fine art inspired by the Appalachian landscape and the quiet stories it continues to tell.

This piece honors an ancient arrowhead shaped by human hands long ago, then entrusted to the earth for generations before it was seen once again.

The First Witness is offered as a limited edition of 25 archival fine art prints across all available sizes:

Each print is produced on museum-quality archival fine art paper and includes a hand-prepared archival border for the title, edition number, and the artist’s signature in graphite pencil. This presentation follows a traditional fine art practice and allows the artwork’s authenticity to remain visible after framing.

Each print is individually titled, numbered, and signed by Becky Nichols and is accompanied by a hand-signed Collector’s Card containing the story behind the work and its certificate of authenticity.

Prints are delivered unframed, allowing your local professional framer to prepare the artwork according to your preferred presentation and conservation standards.

Not every treasure begins in a gallery. Some begin in quiet Appalachian waterways, where stone, water, and time have shaped one another for generations. After your collection is reserved, I return to these waters to intuitively gather three stones that belong together.

Each collection is chosen as a whole, with stones that naturally complement one another in size, shape, texture, and character. They are cleaned in flowing water, honored with gratitude, and carefully prepared before beginning their journey to you.
