Inside an Intuitive Healing Session: Part One

Part One: What Actually Happens During a Session?

One of the questions I’m asked most often is:

“What actually happens during an intuitive healing session?”

It’s a fair question.

If you’ve never experienced intuitive energy work before, it can be difficult to picture what a session is actually like.

Many people imagine lying quietly on a table while someone works silently nearby.

That’s not how I work.

Every session takes place remotely from my Sacred Appalachian Space, allowing me to connect with you—or your animal—wherever you are.

While I’m working, you might find me sitting beside an Appalachian creek, beneath the shade of an old tree, or quietly sitting with my horses. More often than not, they’ll wander over on their own, resting their noses on my shoulder or simply standing peacefully beside me while I work. Other days, I’m in my office.

The location doesn’t create the connection.

It simply provides the quiet space where I do my best listening.

Your Energetic Blueprint

People often hear me use the phrase energetic blueprint and wonder what I mean.

When I use those words, I’m describing the way I experience your energy during a session. Other practitioners may describe it differently. This is simply the language that best reflects my own experience after more than forty-five years of intuitive work.

For me, it’s deeply visual.

I often see colors, lines, movement, and energetic patterns that begin telling a story. Some areas appear bright and balanced. Others immediately draw my attention because they feel heavy, congested, or ask for deeper exploration.

I’ve experienced the world this way for as long as I can remember.

As a child, I didn’t have words for it. I simply assumed everyone perceived these things the way I did. As I grew older, I realized they didn’t, and over time I learned to trust what I was seeing instead of dismissing it.

One of the most important things to understand is that your energetic blueprint isn’t fixed.

It’s constantly changing.

Every relationship, every season of growth, every disappointment, every joy, every loss, and every life experience has the potential to influence it. Some experiences strengthen us. Others leave behind energetic patterns that quietly ask for attention.

The energetic blueprint I observe isn’t who you are forever.

It’s simply a reflection of where you are in this moment.

Following the Story

As I follow those patterns, I work with the energetic systems that naturally ask for attention. That may include grounding, the chakra system, energetic balance, or other areas that emerge during your session.

I don’t begin with a technique.

I don’t begin with a checklist.

I begin by listening.

I allow your energetic blueprint to guide where the work naturally unfolds.

Sometimes, spiritual guidance also becomes part of the session.

When meaningful insights arise, I share them with the same care and respect as everything else that unfolds. I don’t try to create those moments or force them. They simply become part of the story your session is revealing.

You’re Invited Into the Experience

One of the things that makes my sessions different is that I don’t simply complete the work and tell you about it afterward.

As your session unfolds, I talk you through it in real time.

As I observe colors, patterns, energetic shifts, or areas that draw my attention, I explain what I’m seeing, what I’m working with, and why I’m being guided there.

If spiritual guidance emerges, I share that as it naturally unfolds.

If I’m working with the chakra system, grounding, or another energetic pattern, I’ll explain that, too.

You’re not simply receiving intuitive energy work.

You’re invited into the experience with me.

After your session, you’ll receive the complete recording of your healing experience—typically forty-five minutes to an hour in length—so you can revisit everything we discovered together whenever you need it.

My hope is that when you finish listening, you won’t simply know that something happened.

You’ll understand the journey.

No two sessions are ever alike because no two energetic blueprints are alike.

Every person carries a different story.

My role is to listen, to follow where I’m being guided, and to help restore balance while sharing everything I discover along the way.

Because I believe healing isn’t simply something that happens to us.

Sometimes it begins by being seen.

Sometimes it begins by finally understanding what we’ve been carrying.

And sometimes it begins by realizing we don’t have to carry it alone anymore.
